Better Nigeria Incorporated (BNI), one of the world’s leading and diverse non-profit organizations with headquarters in the United States, whose mission is to promote awareness of individual responsibilities of all stakeholders in the project Nigeria by elevating the Office of the Citizen, has issued the following new year message to Nigerians:

As the New Year 2022 approaches us with hopes anew, we must not forget to count our blessings. We have every reason to rejoice and be thankful that we are persevering in the face of enormous challenges. Every end marks a new beginning. The coming year brings another chance for us to set things right. Therefore, we must resolve to let go of the past and start off new.

Nigeria is The Giant of Africa! We are Nigerians! Failure has never diminished our inner resilience to succeed. As Naija, we have it in us. We have consistently showed outstanding achievements and made our marks both at home and abroad.

More than ever in this new year, we must keep our winning spirits and determination unshaken, and double down with renewed determination to obey Nigeria’s call to serve our Fatherland with love and strength and faith. Our new challenge is how to better scale up the relentless strength and admirable success of Nigerians ultimately to a great Nigeria at the national level. As the home to the largest number of tribes and tongues in Africa, Nigeria owns it to Africa to role model “One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity” to the world.

Professor Salewa Olafioye, former United Nations consultant, chairman and CEO, Better Nigeria Inc

Our New Year’s resolutions personally and collectively must include the recognition that “Nigeria is up to every Nigerian”. It is our civic duty as Nigerians to choose the most qualified to champion our noble cause to make Nigeria attain great lofty heights, and help Guide our leaders right by insisting on verifiable excellent results.

We wish Nigerians at home and in the diaspora a wonderful year ahead, and a better Nigeria for all.

We wish Nigeria a prosperous nation where peace and justice reign.

God bless Great Nigeria.

Professor Salewa Olafioye, chairman and CEO of Better Nigeria Inc., signed.
